WORLD CONGRESS ON OSTEOPOROSIS, OSTEOARTHRITIS AND MUSCULOSKELETAL DISEASES

For this 21th Edition of the WCO-IOF-ESCEO Congress which will take place in London from August 26 to August 29, 2021, the members of the Committee of Scientific Advisors of the IOF and the members of the Scientific Advisory Board of ESCEO are developing a very exciting Congress’ scientific programme that will bring together the world’s best in the field of musculoskeletal health and disease.

The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis (ESCEO) are thrilled to welcome you in London and hope that this Congress will move the field one step forward on all fronts; from new understanding of bone metabolism and pathology, to new strategies and options in prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

The city of London offers a most convenient and pleasant setting for international congresses. We hope that you will also take the opportunity to explore its many attractions!

COVID-19 Safety Measures

We have endorsed all existing recommendations to avoid viral transmission (social distancing; wearing of a face-mask; use of hand gels; frequent cleaning of lecture and seminar rooms; increased spacing as part of seating arrangements and other widely used measures).

In addition, however, we shall also request that entry to Congress facilities will require a negative PCR test documented within 72 hours prior to the start of the meeting, or a certificate confirming vaccination against COVID-19.

Registrants failing to provide these documents will be offered virtual access to the sessions, free of charge.

The congress chairmen are honoured to announce that 1.417 abstracts were submitted for this 2020 edition of the WCO-IOF-ESCEO! This extraordinary number of abstracts is the largest ever recorded since the beginning of the Congress.

The 1st Virtual WCO-IOF-ESCEO was and still is a huge success!

As you know, the 20th edition of the WCO-IOF-ESCEO has been organized on a very different basis than the precedent editions. Nevertheless, the Scientific Committee is more than thrilled to announce that this Virtual Congress is a tremendous success, which will remain open for 3 months!

In order to offer you the best possible experience, all efforts were made to maintain the initial programme as planned, as well as the usual features of the face-to-face WCO. Altogether, 1600 scientific contributions were gathered, including:

We would like to warmly thank each of the 7900+ delegates who already took part in this online gathering and who are enabling the congress to remain the world largest event in the field of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, frailty and sarcopenia.

Accreditations

EUROPEAN ACCREDITATION

The WCO-IOF-ESCEO 2021 Congress has been granted 16 European CME credits (ECMEC) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).

AMERICAN ACCREDITATION

EACCME credits can be converted to AMA credits for American delegates.
Belgian and Italian accreditations are in process. More information will be provided closer to the meeting.
